Project Name: Construction of Maternity Block, Covered Walkway, External Work – Mchinji, Chioshya and Mkanda Health Center
Organization: Ministry of Health and Population, Under Option (kfW), Lilongwe
Scope of Work: This project was funded by KFW which is a German state-owned development bank. The project was divided into 3 sections in 3 regions. In Mchinji, the project consisted of rehabilitating the existing hospital which included labor ward, operation theatre major and minor, postnatal chambers and sluice room. In Mkanda, the construction of new postnatal building was directed with accessories such as electrical connections, plumbing accessories and finished concrete floor. In Chioshya, the construction and maintenance of new mothers waiting hostel with associated external work such as paved walkways and etc.
